Let me introduce myself as the Principal of Oxford International School. I started my career as a Lecturer of English. I was anointed as Head of English Dept and Senior Vice Principal. I have studied law, Journalism, Human Rights and Legal Aid. I have had Diploma in Computer Application. Besides, I have earned MBA degree. I hold Doctor of Philosophy in English Literature. I served Dhaka Residential Model College for more than three decades.

Nowadays, the role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever-changing global society. More than three decades back Oxford International School pledged to transform education.

The school is striving hard to make the best possible efforts to engrain strong values combining with academics and extra-curricular and co-curricular activities in the children. Converting every individual into an erudite, patriotic and law abiding citizen, the school provides an amalgam of scholastic and co-scholastic activities.

No doubt, a student endued in such an atmosphere has every hope and possibility of becoming a responsible, balanced and a mature adult and is able to live in to contribute and to shoulder responsibilities of the society, of which he forms an integral part. Children need a supportive environment at home and at school. They need to set goals, within their reach until they gain confidence and determination. They should reexamine their priorities, set clean goals and make specific plans to achieve what they desire. Focusing on specific goals, helps them move forward purposefully in life. They would, thus, have the pleasure of watching their dreams into reality.
At OIS, our approach towards learning is child centric. Activity based learning and inculcating a scientific temper and a spirit of free enquiry is practised widely. In our curriculum the student is the primary focus and each child is involved in the learning process. We are constantly improving our teaching methodology so that it turns learning into combination of classroom study, research and scientific discovery.
The school is enormously blessed with experienced and committed teachers. The family atmosphere created by the guidance and support of the non-teaching staff always makes the students feel that they are not away from home.

COVID-19 Pandemic has surely altered lives and disrupted normal life across the world. We shouldn’t let the pandemic pin us down. We must remain positive and keep our hopes alive.
